On the surface, DLC clearly seems like it is a good thing for gaming. It lengthens the life span of games by providing periodically dropped new content as well as keeping things fresh and interesting when otherwise a game would have long become stale and boring. The Sims 4 eschews several elements that were introduced in The Sims 3 and before, such as swimming pools, basements, and most importantly, persistent neighbourhoods. If you want your sims to travel to a different lot, go on a date, or simply go to school/work, youll either be presented with a loading screen, or youll have to wait around in an empty house like a cursed spirit until they return. In this sense, The Sims 4 plays more like The Sims 2.5."

September was big with the likes of Destiny and The Sims 4 kicking off the silly season, but things get really crazy in October. As I mentioned in my review for The Sims 4, the community feedback (if I'm putting this lightly) has been overwhelming, and the number of complaints about the absence of several notable features like pools, public service careers, and ghosts are a talking record at this point.
